Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actor. She has starred in numerous TV shows like "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. In addition, she is famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was the daughter of a department store buyer as well as a kindergarten instructor. Her first acting experience was in the age of seven when her Aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as in the TV show Father Murphy. When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more seriously. She was able to land important roles on TV as well as big screens. Martin has also been an artist and photographer. Since she is a mother of two kids, she's been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. She has also promoted awareness of the disease since her younger sister died from the illness at age 19.
