Mischa Barton
Barton has been in the theater in film, television and theater. Her nationality is American British. In the Lincoln Center in New York City she performed her debut on stage in Tony Kushner's Slavs! James Lapine's Twelve Dreams was her first part. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress, with a brief cameo in All My Children. She was also a voice actor in Nickelodeon's animated program KaBlam! from 1996 until 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she acted as the lead in the drama Lawn Dogs (1997) alongside Sam Rockwell, marking her first significant acting performance. The films she has starred in are M. Night Shyamalan's Psychological film The Sixth Sense (1998) and the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1998). In 1999, she made an appearance in Pups which was an indie crime drama. Barton was Evan Rachel Wood's love-interest in ABC's Once and Again in 2001 and was also in the independently-produced series Lost and Delirious in 2001. In her performance as Marissa Cooper on the Fox Television series The O.C. in 2003-2006, she received two Teen Choice Awards. Barton was named the "It Girl for 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played Marissa Cooper's role. Since 2003, Barton has acted in the drama Closing the Ring, directed by Richard Attenborough, as well as the comedies St Trinian's and the Assassination of the High School President. She also made a comeback to television in 2009and appeared in the CW series The Beautiful Life, which Ashton Kutcher produced.
